What's New for the 2025 Ford F-150 Lightning?
Ford's F-150 Lightning has rapidly become a favorite among electric trucks, delivering a rare combination of workplace utility and efficient electric driving. It's built on the same Ford F-150 chassis but replaces the gasoline powerplant with an electric drivetrain. The latest Lightning refines a few standard features and now includes a mobile charging cord with an NACS adapter.
What Are the 2025 F-150 Lightning Trims & Features?
The 2025 Lightning lineup consists of five trims.
The Pro entry model features vinyl seats and floors, heated front seats, dual-zone climate control, and a built-in trailer hitch. It includes satellite radio, a digital gauge display, a 12-inch infotainment screen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and a 120V outlet. The Pro rides on 18-inch wheels, sports LED headlights, and supports DC fast charging.
Next is the XLT, which swaps vinyl floors for carpet, adds a power-adjustable driver's seat, leather steering wheel, under-seat storage, and extra safety features.
The Flash trim brings 20-inch wheels, a power tailgate/step, a 15.5-inch touchscreen, a heated steering wheel, push-button start, and keyless ignition. It also includes wireless charging, an enhanced eight-speaker B&O audio system, BlueCruise hands-free driving, and additional driver aids.
Lariat adds a dual-panel sunroof, heated rear seats, ventilated front seats, and leather upholstery.
Finally, Platinum is the top option, with 22-inch wheels, a 14-speaker premium sound system, massaged front seats, high-end leather trim, a towing package, and a Pro Power Onboard delivering 9.6 kW.
How Much Horsepower Does the 2025 F-150 Lightning Have?
The standard dual-motor setup produces 452 hp and 775 lb-ft of torque. The extended-range battery on higher trims increases output to 580 hp and extends the driving range.
