Ford Motor Company recently announced that Lisa Drake has assumed the role of President of Ford Energy, reporting to Vice Chair John Lawler. Drake's immediate priority is the rollout of Ford's battery energy storage systems (BESS) business.

Managing battery cell production and commercial sales are among the primary duties of the new President of Ford Energy, Lisa Drake. Vice Chair John Lawler stated, "Lisa has a deep expertise in scaling complex industrial systems and securing critical supply chains. Her leadership is essential as we stand up Ford Energy to capture the growing demand for reliable battery energy storage that supports grid stability and resilience for utilities and large energy users."

Drake previously served as Vice President of Technology Platform Programs and EV Systems, giving her a professional edge in industrialization. She is set to use this experience to build Ford Energy's influence. Drake commented, "We're building a business focused first on utility-scale battery energy storage systems for large customers while also offering battery cells for residential energy storage solutions."
