What's New for the 2026 Ford Mustang?

Mostly unchanged for 2026, the Ford Mustang receives a few trim-specific changes and package updates rather than sweeping revisions. The Mustang still stands out for its accessible, performance-oriented tech displays. It accelerates responsively, handles confidently, and offers a surprisingly roomy cabin for its segment.

What Are the 2026 Mustang Trims & Features?

You can get the 2026 Ford Mustang in one of six trim levels.

The EcoBoost is the entry-level model with LED headlights and 17-inch wheels. A dual exhaust system is standard for visual and performance reasons. The EcoBoost also features keyless entry and dual-zone climate control. Cloth upholstery is standard, while a leather gear shifter elevates the interior feel. Tech includes a Wi-Fi hotspot, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, a 13.2-inch infotainment display, and a 12.4-inch digital instrument panel.

EcoBoost Premium upgrades to synthetic-leather seats and ambient lighting. A heated steering wheel is standard, and the front seats are heated and ventilated. This trim includes an upgraded sound system, proximity-sensing exterior lights, and power-adjustable mirrors.

The GT trim brings a functional hood vent, larger brake rotors, and trim-specific styling elements.

GT Premium adds the GT's features and steps up to larger 19-inch wheels.

The Dark Horse adds engine oil coolers, a B&O audio system, custom 19-inch wheels, an active exhaust, and unique styling and badging.

The Dark Horse Premium enhances the Dark Horse for track use - roughly 500 hp from a 5.0L V8 (available with a 6-speed manual or 10-speed automatic), MagneRide® dampers, Brembo® brakes, heavy-duty engine/transmission/diff coolers, and an optional Handling Package and RECARO® seats for drivers who want greater track capability.
