What's New for the 2023 Ford F-150?

In 2023, Ford added the Rattler trim to the F-150 model. This one has an off-road theme. It includes 18-inch wheels, hill-descent control, a dual exhaust system, special suspension systems specifically for off-roading, and the rattlesnake logos.

2023 F-150 Trims and Features

The F-150 XL is going to be the basic model. The Rattler is the off-road trim with the locking rear differential. From there, you're going to get the XLT and then the Lariat. Usually, the Lariat is a highly popular model, but you're not going to know exactly what's in it until a little further down the road.

There will also be the Tremor which is another off-road trim that is like the Rattler but has even more. After that, there's the King Ranch version. It will have 33-inch all-terrain tires, better suspension, and a four-wheel drive transfer case.

Then, you'll get the Platinum trim. This one will likely have quite a few new features on it. The most expensive trim will be the Limited.

Towing capability should start with 8200 pounds on the high end with the 500 hp twin-turbo. With some options, it will go up to as much as 13,000 pounds for towing capacity. Fuel economy for the hybrid will be up to 26 mpg.

The F-150 will have options for engines, starting with the 250 horsepower version that has the 3 V-6. It will go all the way up to the 400 hp hybrid power train with the 10-speed auto transmission with the 35 kW electric motor. There are quite a few different options here so t that you can choose.

Ford F-150 Safety

The safety and assist options for the 2023 F-150 will be significant. The standard systems start with the auto emergency braking the pedestrian detection. This will help you automatically avoid pedestrians and objects. Other available systems will include the rear-facing camera so you can monitor your trailer.

There are also options for the lane-departure warning and the lane-keeping assist. These are especially useful for long trips in your F-150, where fatigue may be an issue. The optional adaptive cruise control will help with that as well.
